Bangladesh in group B of Bangamata Women’s Int’l Gold Cup
Bangladesh pitted in group B of the inaugural Bangamata U-19 Women’s International Gold Cup scheduled to be held on April 22 to May 3 at country’s premier venue Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In this regards, a fabulous draw ceremony of the tournament was held today (Tuesday) at a city hotel. The logo of the tournament was also unveiled during the draw ceremony.
Salman F Rahman MP advisor on private industries and investment sector of Prime Minister was the chief guest in the draw ceremony.
Middle East country United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan are the other two teams of group B of the tournament.
On the other hand, Mongolia, Laos and Tajikistan are drawn in group A.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi M Salahuddin, BFF senior vice president Salam Murshedy, tournament right holder sports marketing company K-Sports chief executive Fahad MA Karim, Habib Group managing director AK Azad, Minister High-tech Park Limited chairman MA Razzak Khan Raj, Bangladesh Olympic association Secretary General Syed Sahed Reza, Fortis Group managing director Shahadat Hossain, BFF executive member and BFF women’s wing chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, BFF vice president Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi, UAE High Commission’s official Ali Khalif Al Yamahhi, Toma Group chairman Atiqur Rahman Bhuiyan, RTV chief executive officer Syed Ashik Rahman and Nagorik TV chief executive officer Abdur Nur Tushar,
The BFF has the plan to host the tournament every year with the addition of this new women’s international tournament.
Sports marketing company K-Sports has bought the rights for this edition of the tournament and will provide all the expenditures.
