Bangladesh a genuine friend, associate, well-wisher of India: Pranab Mukherjee

He made the comments in a letter sent to Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, the foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
He also congratulated Momen and the people of Bangladesh in his letter.
The former president said it was his “fortune” that he had maintained deep relations with Bangladesh since its independence and he had made an effort to deepen the relations gradually.
He lauded Momen and said his appointment as foreign minister is certainly an indicator of his “competency, sincerity and skillfulness”.
Pranab said he had a scope to work with former finance minister AMA Muhith, the elder brother of Momen.
