Injured fireman Sohel Rana dies at Singapore hospital
Fireman Sohel Rana, who sustained serious injuries while doing rescue operation in the devastating Banani fire,
succumbed to his injuries at Singapore General Hospital early today.
A spokesman of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters confirmed his death saying, “Sohel Rana, who received fatal injuries during conducting rescue operation at the FR Tower fire in city’s Banani, succumbed to his injuries at 2:17am Bangladesh time”
Earlier, the devastating Banani fire that broke out on March 28 claimed the lives of 26 people and left many others injured.
Unmarried Sohel Rana, 34, was the son of Noor Islam, a farmer, of Itna upazila in Kishoreganj, the spokesman added.
